These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the taximeter.ie website and your purchase of products and services from Pulsar Europe ("we", "us", "our"), Ireland's official distributor for ATA Electronics. By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
We supply, programmes, installs and supports ATA Electronics taximeters, printers, roof signs and related equipment for the Irish taxi (SPSV) market.
Pulsar Europe is registered in Ireland under Company No. 773770, VAT No. 7369951D, with registered address at 14 Castle Green, Hereford Park, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, W23 Y6FX, Ireland.
We take care to describe our products accurately, including their regulatory status. Our taximeters are supplied as NTA type approved and Legal Metrology (NSAI) compliant where stated. Product images and specifications are provided for guidance; manufacturer specifications may change over time. If a product's key details differ materially from its description, we will let you know before completing your order.
Prices and package contents are provided by quotation, tailored to your requirements. Quotations are valid for the period stated and are subject to change if not accepted within that period. Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be applied at the prevailing rate.
An order is accepted once we confirm it with you. Payment terms will be set out in your quotation or invoice. Where you request a flexible payment arrangement, this is offered directly by Pulsar Europe on a case-by-case basis and is subject to agreement. Pulsar Europe is not a regulated credit provider, and flexible payment availability is not guaranteed. Full details are set out on our Finance page.
Where installation is included, it is carried out by trained technicians in our nationwide network. You are responsible for making your vehicle available at the agreed time and for providing accurate vehicle information. Installation appointments are subject to availability.
Under Irish law, a taximeter must be verified by the Legal Metrology Service (via Applus) before use, and verified whenever a new tariff is programmed. We supply equipment pre-programmed to the current national tariff, but arranging and attending your verification appointment, and ensuring your vehicle remains road-legal, is your responsibility as the operator.
Manufacturer's warranty. ATA taximeters are built to a high standard of reliability, with a rated operational life of up to 15 years, so a fault is genuinely rare. For complete peace of mind, every ATA taximeter supplied by us carries a full three-year manufacturer's warranty from ATA Electronics, running across all three years. It covers manufacturing defects under normal use and excludes damage caused by accident, misuse, unauthorised modification or incorrect installation by third parties. In the unlikely event a fault develops, contact us with your purchase details and we will arrange assessment, repair or replacement in line with the manufacturer's terms.
Installer hot-swap service. As an added layer of protection, and separately from the manufacturer's warranty, your installer offers a hot-swap service for the first year. In the rare event your meter ever needs a warranty repair, rather than waiting while it is sent away, your installer will fit a replacement or refurbished meter so you can stay on the road, for a reduced installation fee. The hot-swap service is provided by the installer — not the manufacturer — and is guaranteed for the first year only. In years two and three the hot-swap is offered at the installer's discretion and is not guaranteed; the manufacturer's three-year warranty continues to apply in full throughout.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the price paid for the products and services concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of earnings, arising from the use of, or inability to use, the equipment.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer where they apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
