TARIFF & REGULATORY PARAMETERS

Everything on this card is a read. Nothing here changes a fare. Under Irish law any change to a taximeter’s programming has to be re-verified by the Legal Metrology Service, so if a figure is wrong the answer is a phone call, not a button press.

Worth doing before verification

Ten minutes with this card before your Applus appointment tells you your fares are right, your paperwork matches the meter, and there are no surprises waiting for you. Print both sets and bring the tickets with you.

READ YOUR FARE PARAMETERS

  1. From "FOR HIRE", press Button 3 to open the menu.
  2. Press Button 1 or Button 2 until "PARAMETERS" appears, then Button 3.PARAMETERS
  3. Press Button 1 or Button 2 until "TARIFF PARAMETERS" appears, then Button 3.
  4. Press Button 1 or Button 2 to choose "TARIFFS" or "SUPPLEMENTS", then Button 3.
  5. Press Button 1 or Button 2 to step through the figures.
  6. Hold Button 4 for 2 seconds to print the whole lot.prints

WHAT THE FIGURES MEAN

READINGWHAT IT IS
INITIAL CHARGEThe amount on the meter the moment the job starts.
MINIMUM FAREThe lowest fare chargeable, regardless of how short the job was.
DROP AMOUNTThe amount added each time the meter clicks on.
DIST 1ST DROPThe distance covered before the first drop is added.
KM RATEThe distance rate for the tariff you are looking at.
HOURLY RATEThe waiting-time rate for that tariff.
SUPPLEMENTSEach supplement and the maximum number of times it can be applied.

READ YOUR REGULATORY PARAMETERS

  1. From "FOR HIRE", press Button 3, scroll to "PARAMETERS" and press Button 3.
  2. Press Button 1 or Button 2 until "REGULATORY PARAM" appears, then Button 3.REGULATORY PARAM
  3. Press Button 1 or Button 2 to step through: intervention log, ATA BOX serial number, screen serial number, metrological CRC, national parameters, ATA BOX software version, screen software version and vehicle number.
  4. Hold Button 4 for 3 seconds to print the whole lot.prints
