The PRIMUS RS-01 clips cleanly onto your existing rear-view mirror, so there's no bracket bolted to your dash. It sits right in your line of sight at the mirror, giving you a clean cab interior that looks professional to every passenger who climbs in.

The multicolour LCD screen is crisp and anti-glare — clear in the harsh morning sun crossing the Liffey bridges, and just as readable on a dark midwinter night in Galway. Four logically positioned push-buttons handle every function you'll need on a busy shift: starting a job, changing tariff, adding supplements, and triggering a receipt. No scrolling through menus when you're pulling away from a rank, and the whole menu is clear and easy to navigate even in the thick of a busy night.

There's plenty working away under the surface too. You can set the period of time after which the meter shuts down automatically, so it never sits draining your car's battery on a day off or an overnight break. Your till receipts can be programmed with your own details — a phone number, a QR code for passengers to scan, or your company logo. The clock is easily adjusted, and your totals can be reset whenever you want a fresh count of the shift's fares and takings.

When wired to your roof sign, the RS-01 switches your taxi light automatically between "free" and "hired" the moment you start a job — no manual fiddling, no forgetting to flip the light. One less thing to think about when you're busy.
