ATA Taximeter – Irish market firmware – Pulsar Europe – PRIMUS RS-01 & S-01 – 2026
The meter has four buttons. On the RS-01 they run 1, 2, 3, 4 from left to right, Button 1 on the far left and Button 4 on the far right. On the S-01 they run top to bottom, Button 1 at the top and Button 4 at the bottom. On both models, Buttons 1 and 2 move back and forth through the menu, Button 3 is enter, and Button 4 is back.
The permanent totals are the meter's lifetime readings. They cannot be cleared or reset by you, by your installer, or by anybody else — they only ever go up. That is the whole point of them.
You cannot damage anything or change any figure by going into this menu. You are only reading. If you want the day-to-day figures you can reset yourself, you want the Partial Totals card instead.
| ON SCREEN | WHAT IT IS |
|---|---|
| LAST FARE | Amount of the last fare taken |
| TOTE RECEIPT A | Total takings recorded by the meter |
| EXTRAS AMOUNT | Total of all extras charged |
| TOTAL DISTANCE | Total distance travelled |
| CHARGE DISTANCE | Total distance travelled hired |
| FOR HIRE DISTANCE | Total distance travelled empty |
| NUMBER OF TRIPS | Number of hirings — jobs picked up |
| DROP NUMBER | Number of drops — times the meter was engaged |
The meter always remembers the last settings state it was in. Pressing Button 3 from "FOR HIRE" returns you to whichever settings menu you were last in. By default the meter comes up in the "switch off taximeter" menu. The dedicated function to actually switch the meter OFF is a long-press of Button 4. To switch it back ON, press Button 2 or Button 3.
