NOTE

Only while you are hired

Extras can only be reached when the meter is in the "TARIFF" position — that is, with a job running. You cannot pre-load them from "FOR HIRE".

Button layout

The meter has four buttons. On the RS-01 they run 1, 2, 3, 4 from left to right, Button 1 on the far left and Button 4 on the far right. On the S-01 they run top to bottom, Button 1 at the top and Button 4 at the bottom. On both models, Buttons 1 and 2 move back and forth through the menu, Button 3 is enter, and Button 4 is back.

It saves itself

There is no confirm step. Whatever extras are showing when you stop pressing are the ones applied. The meter returns to "ON HIRE" by itself after 10 seconds, or hold Button 4 for 2 seconds to go back immediately.

STEPS

  1. With a job running, press Button 2 to open the extras menu.TARIFF position only
  2. The first extra appears. Press Button 1 or Button 2 to scroll through the list.
  3. Press Button 3 to add one.count shown alongside
  4. Press Button 4 to take one off.
  5. Press Button 2 and Button 3 together to clear every extra at once.all cleared
  6. Wait 10 seconds, or hold Button 4 for 2 seconds, to return to the running job.

Maximum quantitiesEach extra has a maximum number of applications set at programming. The meter will not go past it.
The clear-allButton 2 and Button 3 together. Faster than pressing Button 4 repeatedly when you have added the wrong one at the lights.
On the receiptExtras print on the passenger receipt alongside the fare, as required.

If an extra you need is not in the list

The extras available on your meter are set at programming and must match the current Irish national tariff schedule. If one is missing or the amount looks wrong, ring Pulsar Europe on +353 87 283 5120 — do not try to work around it.
